HouseMaster, the first and one of the largest home inspection franchisors in North America, has been named the top rated franchisor in the home inspection category by Entrepreneur Magazine in its 31st Annual Franchise 500 Ranking. This marks HouseMaster’s second consecutive year as the top rated home inspection franchise, the company ranked number one in the category in 2009 as well.

Overall, HouseMaster ranked 130th in the Entrepreneur 500 list, jumping 24 spots from its 2009 ranking, once again claiming its place as the number one home inspection franchisor. HouseMaster has been named as the number one home inspection franchisor in the Entrepreneur ranking more times than any other company in the category. Â
Entrepreneur’s ranking is based on extensive evaluations of franchise organizations covering a range of criterion to create the Franchise 500 list. Key factors included financial strength and stability, growth rate, and size of the system. Entrepreneur also considered the number of years in business and length of time franchising, startup costs, litigation, percentage of terminations, and financial data. Every company with verifiable data received a cumulative score, with the highest scoring franchises making up the Franchise 500.
